Engagement Shoot at Rye

Photography at Rye and Camber Sands

Seeing as Lisa and Ralph are getting married at Rye next summer, we thought it a great idea to use this stunning historic town as a location for part of their engagement shoot. The church at Rye and its surrounding courtyard and cobbled streets have many opportunities for great portrait photography. Ypres tower and the view point also provided an excellent backdrop for the couple shoot.

I always like to bring diversity to shoots and using Camber Sands was perfect for this. Most know Camber as the sandy beach of the South East for beach day outs, but it is equally good for dramatic engagement shots and portraiture.

Lympne Castle Wedding

There are many things to love about Lympne Castle, near Hythe in Kent. The beautiful medieval architecture combined with the amazing views over to France is the first thing you notice.

Both bridal and groom preparations take place in the cottages which are part of the castle grounds, and accommodation is available before and after the wedding. The venue is licensed for weeding ceremonies and so all the guests are in one place for the whole day so everything has a relaxed feel.

The gardens are both stunning and immaculate and I commented to my photographic assistant that it is the sort of garden that you would wear your best shoes to walk in!
